I like those alternatives over Kerry or Hilary - but for that to happen we Democrats need to somehow rise above ourselves and reach out to a candidate rather than pick among those who offer themselves.

I favored Edwards selection as Kerry's running mate but later had regrets. They just didn't seem to have the chemistry as the campaign wore on... and I'm not sure about Edwards in '08.
