The fact that some people do overcome hardship does not mean that it is easy to do so. Most people in "better" countries enjoy the fact that more people are middle class, and there is not such a large criminal element. Even if Muslims are sneaking into Europe and trying to get benefits, we have the same thing here--Mexican illegals sucking up considerable social services, emergency room medical treatment, etc. That does not make America better than Europe re most measurable statistics.
