SC,

Canada cbc.ca +8.9 Billion

My friend's wife works at the CBC and he and all her friends vote Liberal because they think they're helping her keep her job. I guess that is what happens when a low unemployment rate becomes anything 7 and under. (I was wondering who votes Liberal but I found out it is all the people working for gov't and in Canada that is huge, since the Conservatives would cut gov't)

I asked my friend why Canada needed the CBC and he said they make 'important programming' that people 'need to watch'. I pointed out that Public Broadcasting does fine with fundraising and no public money is needed. I then asked him why the CBC does reports on such inane topics as the RCMP Musical Ride instead of perhaps analyzing how Canada's mentally ill have been displaced by the new budget (maybe they've all been hired by the CBC to produce the Musical Ride piece) or analyzing corruption in Canadian politics or Canada's role in world leadership or how English and French Canadians could find a solution to their being dysfunctional.

He said 'Well, noone wants to watch THAT'

Huh? Oh yeah, right, they're all watching Gordinyo on Goonish TV

goonish.tv

Forgot.

Spotted,

I hear the Liberals are planning on ignoring the Conservative no-confidence vote and keep on governing. Wow, talk about really insulting the people's intelligence. This will get really interesting if the Governor General has to officially declare the gov't is no longer legally able to govern. Perhaps we'll get a Ukraine-style blockade? Talk about a Banana Republic!

If I'm not mistaken, the Governor General has the power to install a new gov't made up of the opposition. I think the Liberals are talking alot of unnecessary risks. I see the head of the Quebec Liberal party admitted to accepting $300,000 in taxpayers money and not issuing a receipt and also admitted he knew it was illegal.

"Quebec's two major provincial parties received hefty payments, in contravention of electoral law, the testimony of Montreal ad executive Jean Brault reveals"

Quebecers must really love this idea that they have to be bought being aired in public (of course we all know that's true, privately)

I was going to buy some more trusts this week, the USD looks better all the time! Since I'm selfish, I'm really only concerned about how this impacts my investments and I don't think I'll miss much by waiting a little here. This could get exciting.
