You can buy them for next to nothing. New for less than $20 from any online retailer or even less from a local repair shop. Piece of cake to install.

Judi, thanks for sharing your success! We should all take note of how you solved the boot problem. As for floppy drive replacement: I wouldn't replace it and would just go without a floppy. Any data you mave have on floppies could be burned to a CD using another computer with a working floppy.
