Not really unbecoming TJ. Honest. When people say they are coming to get you, and they denigrate you, and are planning on doing you down, you had better believe them.

When they tell me my blood is some kind of water, it makes me nervous that I could spring a leak, perhaps with their assistance, and be of no consequence to the Chinese master race, other than to perhaps irrigate a rice field.

When they rant on in xenophobic jingoistic ignorant hysteria about Japanese [who have apologized per murder more than China's bosses have done, and have paid a LOT more compensation - some $35 bn according to rumour], I find I have more in common with Japanese, and Taiwanese, than with the nasty streak of racist megalomania showing itself in Beijing.

What people have in common seems to be more a function of what flows through our minds [and bank books] than our blood vessels. One generation ago, my parents and their siblings had a LOT more in common with China than with Japan. Yet the blood quality hasn't changed. Uncle Jim was tantamount to Chinese as a child and during his life would not buy anything from Japan. Weirdly, the polarity has changed completely in two generations, with Tarken-san tantamount to Japanese.
