My fear is that only the deep pocket players will be able to move ahead from now on and that the amats of the world will never again see the kind of markets they previously enjoyed. However, since amat is a deep pocket player in its' own right, it and some others can still grow by consolidating the industry.

Disclosure: I have a majority of my portfolio in chip equipment stocks.
