Don't ever trust your memory again.
It had you 4 years off on Entebbe...and you were giving the Israelis credit for an action that had not yet happened.

Good grief. Of course it hadn't happened yet, but it was of the same era. That the folks who were offered to deal with Munich had not yet demonstrated their prowess at Entebbe is irrelevant to the fact that the Israeli program was highly regarded during that era.

you want to argue the Germans should not have assumed jurisdiction.

Not suggesting that it wasn't their jurisdiction, only that one takes expert assistance when it is offered for a problem in one's jurisdiction that one is not fully equipped to solve. Countries that have experienced earthquakes accept our rescue dogs and handlers without giving up jurisdiction. I don't find anything constructive in the prideful refusal to accept assistance due to jurisdiction sensitivity.

It is hard for you to believe MSM could get a story wrong.

What MSM? The entire internet is now subsumed by "MSM." Hmmmm.

So now you want to argue about Spielberg.

His proposed movie WAS the context of this colloquy. Perhaps your trip down memory lane distracted you from it. I didn't intend to start an argument about Spielberg, only to restore focus and hopefully close the loop.
