>>go back to China.<<

Maybe Yiwu Zhang cannot go back. After all, she is a Maoist and they are arresting outspoken Maoists in China. She signed the petition sent to Ju Jintao opposing several of these arrests...

Ironic if the only safe place for a Maoist these days is in the West.

<One very interesting thing I've noticed lately is how many mainland Chinese are now living in the US. Voting with their feet. >

The numbers are trivial compared with those still in China, but they are significant here. Mainlanders are all over the place here. Auckland has a LOT of Chinese script these days.

With 1 billion people out of 6 billion, and increasing ability to travel, you should expect to see a LOT of Chinese everywhere.

Gengkis was an amateur compared with what's coming now. Traveling by onager [a kind of ass] across Siberia to Europe and Turkey was a lot harder than by Boeing 777. Now, it's a single hop to nearly everywhere on Earth from Beijing.
