Ted, American soldiers are dying in Iraq and this trash is making front page news in the US.

With every American death in Iraq making front-page headlines for the past two years, sooner or later the shock value is going to wear off. Even kidnappings aren't having much of an effect anymore.

As for the runaway bride, her parents are loaded, so I'm sure that will factor into the decision over whether to sue her or not.
