Depends which church. An honest church that preaches freedom of religion, tolerance, love, peace and all thay, or a rightwing church which preaches doomsday, fears and smears, tells you to vote for rightwingers and seeks to divide not only the American people, but their own flocks from their money. Unfortunately, many big evangelical "churches" are guilty of fleeching, politicking, sowing panic and outright BS. Example: Pat Robertson (and many others like him) predicted the end of the world twice in the 80's. Never happened. So they just keep moving their dates forward. This apocalypse BS makes for very irrational extremist rightwing Christians and may result in violence, madness and if goes far enough, tyranny in the USA. AT least that's their dream.
