The Fed Has Now Definitively Linked Spending Growth with

Energy prices. If they had wanted to link Spending Growth to wages, interest rates, savings, or anything else--they did not.

So what shall we conclude? That the Fed will either remain, or, move towards accomodation if energy prices stay high?

I think they've stepped in a puddle here.

Recent data suggest that the solid pace of spending growth has slowed somewhat, partly in response to the earlier increases in energy prices.
