Why were the Viet Namese a threat to us? LOL! Are you serious?!? Do you actually believe that little ole Viet Nam was a threat to the U.S.? That they could have or would want to attack us? That is where you have been thoroughly propadandized.

Viet Nam did not have the capacity to threaten the U.S. Why were we so concerned with Nam when right next door a country 100s of times large with a population 4X the U.S. was Communist? Namely China. Besides when Viet Nam became Communist, they still didn't pose a threat to us, they attacked fellow Communist countries.

Viet Nam was a convient target for the U.S. military industrial complex to destroy and use to further their existence. This is made possible by people like you that will support every endevor they think up, no matter how misguided. China was not, as even our meglomanic leaders understand that China is way too big to attack and make war for profit against.

Even Johnson admitted the Gulf of Tonkin probably never happened. That whole war was a big lie and people actually still believe the BS?

Re: 9/11

I think after 8/6/01, when the President was warned of Bin Laden's plans, we should have been on heigtened readiness for a terrorist attack. But, Bush and his people apparently didn't think so. His response on 9/11 was truly pathetic. Some prudent measures would have been warranted after that warning, which he didn't implement. It appears Bush just sat back and let 9/11 happen, as it saved his Presidency and allowed the military industrial complex to take over this country.

If pissing $300 Billion away on a non-threating country like Iraq is making us more secure, then why are we sitting back and letting Iran and North Korea develop nukes? Also, the terrorists were Saudis not Iraqis and it appears that there was a Pakastani connection as well. It seems like we're attacking the wrong country. Too bad for our domestic security and too bad we can't spend that money at home on long neglected domestic projects.
