Nixon supported and signed the Clean Air, Clean Water, and National Environmental Policy Acts. He also directed the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency. Maybe Nixon didn't care about the environment - many people allege he supported these Acts for political purposes. But no matter the reason, real environmental progress happened under Nixon. Compare that to Bush ...

I don't hate any president, I just disagree with the policies. From JFK to GWB, all elected US presidents are crooks sans Carter and Reagan. LBJ was a crook and low class. He proudly boast how big his equipment was. He enriched himself with radio stations in texas. GWHB let Silverado S&L go scott free after bilking taxpayer for 1 bn$, and had Neil pay only $ 50K. Nixon with Watergate, Clinton with Whitewater and pardoning convicted swindlers during his last day in office. carter has moral values unmatched by other presidents, but he was not an effective leader. Billy, may you rest in peace with your overly consuming beer. Reagan was just so so president, but what a charm he had. He could make the country feel better with his humor providing he did not fall asleep. Clinton, I think is the smartest and he presided at good economic time. I like him. I don't care what he did with his piccadilo. That's between him and Hillary who ridiculed Tammy Wynette's "Stand by your man". Now who do your prefer: an effective leader with extra marital affairs, or an ineffective leader with high moral values?
