Miners having an oversold bounce today. A short-term rally only IMHO. I doubt the HUI will get much above 185 on this bounce.

But a more meaningful trough might not be far off.

Miners might be anticipating a widening of the curve as the Fed starts to have to consider the implications of a slowing economy. How many more hikes are in the offing even in the face of increased inflationary pressures? Remember the CI point from a month or so ago that PPI and CPI comparisons will become much tougher starting June.

I am currently betting heavily on just such an outcome.
