I don't own horses, but several of my neighbors do. I have no idea what to feed them.

No, sweet feed. That's oats and corn. Apples and carrots are treats, too many carrots will make a horse fat. Gotta get the right % of protein in the sweet feed to balance out the protein in the hay and the horses activity. Hay can be grass, brome grass, orchard grass, alfalfa, timothy grass or some I've never heard about.

I know, you googled and know more about horses than I do. I've only had six and raised one foal.
