Re PTA If PTA's were allowed such broad power, all sorts of crap would be taught in US schools. You could send junior off to a school where "history" class would teach him/her that the Nazi's never tried to mass murder anyone, it was all a great hoax, etc. The big debate, and one D Ray noted, is creation/evolution. But there are many more with enough adherents that pockets of nonsense would spring up all over the country if the courts didn't step in with a metaphorical 2x4 and wack the deserving idiots on their numbskulls.
