By saying that no unprocessed lumber is allowed to be shipped out of Canada, you stop the Americans from buying up excess that we can't process. And by announcing that you will no longer ship lumber into the US till the matter is settled by a permanent treaty, either they build 1/3 less houses, or prices will skyrocket, their choice. No lumber = no tariff, and very quickly George will find a solution. Same thing with beef, stop allowing American imports, and very quickly you will find that the border opens, but as long as you allow them to play the game they will. But you are right, until the lumber industry and the government feels the need to succeed it will not be successful.....
