I agree that this doesn't seem to be a clear cut case. But no doubt Berlusconi is under pressure to keep his Italian line tight and that commie woman in no way is even close to being a reliable witness. Sorry for the "commie", but that is what she is a far cry from your liberal friends. Or at least I hope so...

I think its clear that the picture of what happened that nite is a bit muddy. I think the soldiers were probably trigger happy [not surprising, given what happens on the road to the airport]and the Italians were anxious to get to the airport and home. Things are very much out of control in parts of Iraq.........and bad things happen when that's the case.

Frankly, I want the American troops to be withdrawn. Enough is enough. I plan to work towards that end any way I can.
