You and I both know that any animal you want anything from is one well treated animal. Yes there are fools around that abuse their animals just like there are fools around that abuse their wives and kids. Abuse gets more press then all the happy animals in the world but it isn't like its common unless of course that fits your agenda.

One experience in a small German village is a nice anecdote, but does not counter all the well-documented research that has been done on carriage horses all over the world. Many large cities now no longer allow carriage horses at all, thank goodness. And the trend is going in the direction I support--away from using them in that way.
