The problem may not be so obvious at first glance. I'm glad you asked. In the current nation system, if a tyrranical leader like Hitler, Napolean, Nero arises, other nations can step in and remove them. In a World System, every evil tyrrant imaginable will set their sights on the top position and if that position becomes attainable, there is absolutely NO WAY POSSIBLE to stop them. Not even from the lowest level of people, because of course, in accordance with history, all the minions will be disarmed. A World Govt would have absolute power in just a matter of time.
