The campus computer store (I'm a professor and the university paid as part of my "start up funding"). It's 200MHz slower than the new equivalent. Also I had to pay for an extra 256MB of RAM that is now standard. So we paid $1466 and now their list price is $1399 and 200MHz faster. Well I think this is a hazard of buying computers. I still have $1800 to spend by 30 June so I don't really care about the price that much to argue about it. I'm trying to think up things to spend money on (I'm not much good at this :)).
