you might find that

1. default parameters on stockcharts don't produce the best result. for example: chaikin money flow (20) might not make as much sense as CMF (8) if your time horizon is 1-3 days.

2. certain stocks are better understood with indicators that don't work well with other stocks.

3. some indicators are not very useful at all or do not resonate with your style. i never rely on RSI for example.

good luck.

Moominoid, Re: "looks like up". That is the QQQQ that your indicators show going up for the next few months, right? It looks good enough today to make me cover my cubes short...but beyond that I am not sure.

What does your indicators say about the XLF? I started buying that several days ago. One reason I did is that two different regional banks that I have held for years without any gain started moving at about the same time as the XLF. Look at ASO, dead money for years but recently...same pattern as XLF and more similar to XLF that a big bank like BAC or C. I noticed several regionals are moving. Is this a trend?

What do you like best, QQQQ or XLF?
