In the safehaven article, there is again the mention of the "velocity" of money. I am seing this more often. One friend mentions this velocity of money all the time and claims it is at least partially responsible for the "good times" to keep on rocking. He claims it is the new technology that allows this as .....efficiency(s) of the markets due to the increased speed of transfer. OTOH, Moyer as he uses (sees) velocity would argue a more conventional aspect and as things slow down the velocity of money also slows down.

Concerning velocity: how much does the velocity of money play into the thinking on Mish's thread? Of course, I view the comments here as a level above conventional thinking!
