The border of Cambodia is a river Kerry sometimes patrolled. In his journal, he describes the river and looking toward one bank into Cambodia. That is proof he was at least right on the border. Kerry was not in Cambodia on Christmas Day 1968, but he didn't say the word "day" just Christmas. So it was slight embellishment. Big deal.

He was there in January. Kerry claims to have ferried Spec Ops on 3-4 clandestine missions into Cambodia during that period. There is no reason on earth to doubt him, even if it was only one inch into Cambodia. His journal proves it. He was there. And so was O'Neill. A lot of them were.
