Grainne, I again have to say your naive. Sorry. I've raised cows, horses, pigs, chickens, children, dogs, cats. Of any being I've been around chickens are without a doubt at the lowest end of the totem pole regardless of what your films lead you to believe.

What I really find amazing is how you folks are trying to prove chickens think, have personalities, etc. Every other animal I've ever been around has an intelligence I can relate to, except chickens.

You really need to get out and about and interact with some of these animals. The dumbest Holstein I've ever met is worlds beyond the smartest chicken you'll ever meet. They do truly have personalities.

Won't keep me from eating them or their milk however. Sorry.
