Hi - Great article, thanks for sending that. I don't really look at commercial RE that much; I had no idea there were that many IO loans in the commercial world.

My feelings on IO loans in the residential market is that they are yet another means for "stealth speculation" by homebuyers--using creative financing to buy more home (whether for investment or owner-occupancy) than they can afford, in the hopes that the price will go up. And thus they will probably lead to bad craziness down the road, in the bubble markets anyway.
