So what if your maternal grandfather had a chicken hatchery! Times have changed! My grandmother killed chickens with a hatchet in her backyard, and cleaned them in her kitchen. Burning those feathers off was particularly nasty, the way it smelled. Do I do that? No! This argument really befuddles me. I think it is unfair for people to keep making fun of chickens if they are unwilling to read the research about them. Perhaps I will start answering the posts only of people with open minds who are willing to at least consider new ideas. I never expect people to think the way I do, but how about pondering new ways of looking at things on occasion?
