I have no problem with people voting their conscience with their feet. Don't go to the Fur Rondy in Anchorage and don't buy products from companies that sponsor dog teams. If enough of you do that, they'll get the message.

I do object to active interference in the lawful commerce and activities of others, no matter what the issue of conscience.

The only farmers not abusing their meat animals are farmers raising free range, organic, vegetarian fed meat.

BULLSHIT! Really. Come on here Grainne.

I need to move on I guess. There is no competing with your expertise on these matters after viewing a couple of PETA films and reading some propaganda. All I can say is try and broaden your horizons and get out and tour some farms, factory farms even.

Animals that are not well cared for do not produce and the farmer then makes no money. Places that abuse their animals do not get results and go broke. It's flippen absurd to claim that every animal in this country is abused unless raised by one of the certified granola munchers, none of whom would make a living were they not able to sell their product for 2/3 times the going rate for the evil meat to folks like you.

The reason that it won't work on mass scale is most of the country truly doesn't give a rip how it's raised. They will buy whats on sale which is why organic farming is never going to happen on a huge scale.
