I understand that Bateman is still very much involved -- although there are others too with expertise in the environmental and geophysical areas. It looks like CSL has made contact with some new people who can help move this thing along. This was a very cryptic PR! But my sense is that they're getting close to the permitting to proceed with the sampling. And if they get permitting, the financing for the BFS should follow close behind. Maybe this would allow them to get rid of the .h designation?

With a "teasing" news release like this, I would hope to see another one fairly soon with much more explicit details on how they're going to proceed. JMHO.

Regards,
Howy

News Release.
Cadre Resources Ltd. TSX – CSL.h-V

Puerto Ordaz Venezuela, May 25, 2005

Stanley Sandner, Chairman & CEO of Cadre Resources Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce (INEA), the national institute responsible for water quality maintenance and coordination of aquatic activities, has granted the Company the go-ahead permit for its bajo Caroni project. The area of the permit covers the full 24Km X 4Km extent of the Macaqua Lake (reservoir) located near Puerto Ordaz in eastern Venezuela. The Company has spent some $3 million over several years in conjunction with major world-class companies such as Bateman Engineering BV and others developing this large, long term, socio-economic beneficial, sustainable and environmentally friendly project.

The permit will enable the Company to proceed with the sub-bottom profiling to precisely lay out, and cubicate the known aggregate deposits in preparation for the bulk sampling stage of the Feasibility Study (FS). In order to develop a systematic material removal plan it is necessary to precisely define material locations, depths, and thickness of the material volume and it’s content. Earlier preliminary feasibility studies indicate relatively low capital and operating costs, and an Internal Rate of Return in excess of 60% over twenty years. The FS will include ongoing environmental studies leading to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

The marketable material consists of high quality quartz granite aggregate with substantial “added values” yielding a total indicated market price in the order of $25-$30 per ton with operating costs in the order of $8-$9 per ton. Estimates are based on a target production rate of 10 million tons per year and an expected project life of 50+ years.

The Company has engaged, and received proposals from, two competent resident (Puerto Ordaz) technical and environmental groups that have had extensive and successful experience in the region. They will assist Cadre/Bateman with the required first stage starting with sub-bottom profiling, sampling and beyond.

Due to extensive earlier work done, the Feasibility Study is expected to be completed at an accelerated rate.

Arrangements for staged funding of the Feasibility Study are well advanced.

NEWS RELEASE
July 7, 2005

R. Page Chilcott, President of Cadre Resources Ltd. (the “Company”), announces that the sub-bottom profile portion of the Caroni River geophysical survey on Macagau (reservoir) Lake between Caruachi and Macagua Dams commenced June 22, 2005 and is about two-thirds complete to date. This survey, as part of the Feasibility Study, is to consist of three longitudinal center lines over the 24 Km length of the Lake and approximately 350 Km of cross-sectional lines to precisely define location, via GPS and volume of aggregate deposits in preparation for the bulk sampling stage. Bulk sampling and testing will be done on potentially productive zones.

Mapping of sediment/aggregate volume profiles, plus variations of the River levels and depths, are being recorded and mapped. As expected, preliminary data interpretations have indicated and located three zone classes: some areas consisting of ‘sterile’ zones with bedrock outcroppings and no free sediments, marginal zones with scarce deposits, plus a third zone whereby data has confirmed and located areas containing 5 to 15 meters of sediments over extensive areas of the Lake. Water depths vary from 5 meters to 50 meters with an average depth of 20 to 30 meters.

Detailed data analysis includes what is described as good lithological definition between the free sediments and bedrock. This definition will enable eventual calculation of material volumes. Subsequent sampling will allow a calculation of resource content and characteristics for an eventual potential economic resource calculation.

A framework for an Environmental Impact Assessment is being developed concurrently, as part of the overall project plan, ensuring the project complies with acceptable socio-economic standards required as it progresses through various permitting stages.
