A lot of people hate their jobs, but they stay at them because they don't have a good alternative. It costs a lot of money to move, and it can play havoc with retirement accounts and taxes and children's educations and such. Having recently looked in to relocating, we found out it was pretty complicated even if you have a lot of assets.

Loving the United States is not required for residency here if you are a citizen. Since I have dual citizenship I might leave, but in the meantime I am fully entitled to live here (and criticize the United States). There are many Americans who feel this country has lost its way. Have you heard of freedom of speech?
