Chris, Reading the Tillman story seems like deja vu. The military was every bit as duplicitous during Viet Nam as it is today. Trusting the military seems to be something that every generation has to come to learn the hard way to be a really bad idea. One thing we can be sure of, the $1,200,000,000 that the government is spending of Brian's, longnshort's and Jewel-of-the -West's tax money is being wasted on military recruiters who are lying through their teeth about almost everything in order to keep up the illusion that we have a free society being protected by an honest military. What a pile of feces that is. And let's not get started on how much of these right wing ding-a-lings' tax dollars are ending up the pockets of right wing charlatans like Halliburton, Bechtel, Custer-Battles and the other war profiteers. While George Bush is telling these yoyos, "it's your money", what Bush is whispering under his breath is "it used to be your money, sucker!"
