That might work. The GSE's might be able to convince the asians that residential RE will be worth more than the "worthless IOU's" (our President's words) they're holding, especially if the dollar continues to drop. Then we could blame the asians for the coming wave of foreclosures. Like the Japanese in the '80's, we could stick the asians with a raft of overpriced bubble properties and buy them back cheap.
