Spotted.Cat. It would be interesting to know just where over a billion and a half tax dollars went for the registration of guns....wonder if any ended up in sponsorship pockets or some similar scam.?

The very idea that my Great Grandfathers Breech lock gun needs to be registered is ludicrous. The last time it was fired was more than a century ago. Since we seem to be having murders on an almost daily basis in Ontario, this just does not seem to be working. We were far better off when adult offenders were 16 not 18. We used to have a law that using a Gun in the commission of a crime was worth an extra 5 years. Also we deported every violent offender. Of course that isn't worth much since the Liberals have been in power because they come back on the next flight.....

First off, living next to a Country with a GAZILLION amount guns does not help Canada on the fight with guns, thats for sure. You think after a few years you can judge this? Ask me after 10 years if this was a waste :)
And yes! Even more should be done on the fight against hand guns.
