I learned the hard way to read the obits many years ago. I made my 30 day follow up call to a customer that had purchased a Deville from me and his wife answered the phone and I cheerfully said Hi Mary is Bob there, total silence and then a guy comes on and says this Tom Bills son, who the hell is this. I told him and the purpose of my call and he informed me that they had just returned from Bob's funeral since he suffered a fatal heart attack. What does a person say to that? I've read the obits and death notices ever since.
