do your numbers not jive?

the only thing which doesn't make sense to me is when he says:

This repo activity is set against a backdrop of the Treasury paying down $18 billion in short term Treasury debt as the 4, 13 & 26 week bill auction settles today.

it makes me think money is coming out of the system. when an auction settles, aren't people ponying up for the securities?

anyway, it feels like the markets are running out of gas. have you seen LEND and NEW today? they've had huge runs on short squeezes. check out the increasing short interest in LEND

nasdaq.com

but on "good" NEW news this morning, there's been a big gap and crap on both stocks.
