Bush's mammoth deficits are like a tsunami which will keep us under water for a long long time. The dollar is already down 40% so we're that much poorer as a nation. We're just lucky the price of oil is pegged to the dollar, or else.

If Bush is going to be a tax hawk then he needs to stop the corporate welfare and cut spending across the board, including defense spending especially useless boondoggles like SDI. But he won't. Bushies love to spend. Bushies also love to give the richest Americans the bigest tax breaks which results in a gradual shift of wealth from the middleclass to the richest class.

As a result of his outrageous mismanagement, Bush will create trillions in deficits, perhaps as high as 13 trillion.
