There is a seven month gap in Bush's Guard records. That gap followed his being suspended from flying and avoiding a medical drug test. His roommate at the time (a supporter) said that Bush was fighting demons and being irrational at that time. Bush also served some community service in Houston during that seven month period. That is the type of thing you are forced to do in order to satisfy a judge. The Bush family had the power to hush up a drug arrest for GW. It would explain a lot of things, including why his father thought he was a no-good rascal and that jeb was the golden boy, something GW went out of his way to prove wrong.

GW is an impressive man, but definitely a scoundrel who got a lot of help from his family and family friends.
