LOL. Tonto claims John Kerry lied in his diary, made up his whole military career, was just planning for 35 years later so he could boast about being a hero, or boast that he was in Cambodia. As if being in Cambodia was any big deal to guys in his position. SwiftBoats went to Cambodia all the time in those days. Johnson and Nixon both covered up all kinds of incursions into Laos and Cambodia. It was what our Special Operators in those days did a great deal of the time.

Funny thing though. The righwing claims Kerry falsified and bragged about his combat record, but until last year, Kerry rarely spoke about his combat experiences to anyone, not even to his own family. Real warriors are like that. Killing and almost being killed tend to be things you don't brag about. Or even talk about. My combat vet friends are the same way. It's hard to drag anything out of them. They're not proud of killing fellow human beings. And they'd rather forget the horror of it.

On the other hand, Bush, who dodged combat and went AWOL for seven months, had a boastful book written for him about his supposed jet fighter pilot career. Half of it total BS. But the rightwing buys everything Bush says despite records proving he was suspended and never reported in Alabama.
