Kerry also voluntered for combat. He could have avoided it if he'd tried. Kerry is a very courageous guy.

His courage is one reason he will never give up against the rightwing machine like Gore did. He is going to keep fighting. Bushies won a big battle by fighting dirty. Fine, but Bushies did not win the war. Already in fact they're being exposed as liars, inept managers and corrupt cheats.

The war will be won when history recognizes the truth, that Kerry and others on his side were right, and Bushies were wrong. Not that anything's totally black and white, but Kerry will prove "honesty wins" in the end if the voters give him a chance. He proves it every day in the senate.

Didn't he tell us we needed fuel efficiency standards three years ago? Yep, but Bush killed the bill that would have saved more oil than is in all of Alaska and kept our auto-makers competitive with Toyota.

And why does he want to keep fighting? For the good of this country, not himself. He knows what Bushies are doing to this country and this world, and he knows it's wrong. A coward would quit and settle down to an easy life, but Kerry never will.
