As far as the Abu Ghraib situation (not the prisoner abuse the attack) there isn't a real conflict.

Delgado said "Detainees who had been demonstrating over a variety of grievances began throwing rocks at the guards. As the disturbance grew, the Army authorized lethal force. Four detainees were shot to death."

This guy agrees that there where rock throwers and that 4 of them were killed. He provides the context which to my knowledge Delgado has not disputed -

As for the prisoner abuse there was an ongoing investigation before the picture came out.
