Slider's Obit was much better Everyone should read "About Face." It's as thick as a brick and a tedious read when Hack goes into detail about some of the Vietnam operations. But his stories about Korea and his early Army career are engrossing. One particular story I remember was that he was assigned to Italy before the Korean War broke out. He reported to his company after everyone had gone to bed. He looked at the bulging sleeping bags and said, "These are some big guys." He was really surprised the next morning to find that a GI and a Yogoslavian girl from across the border rolled out of each of the sleeping bags.
