Howard will stand down as leader news.bbc.co.uk ================================== (Howard did well. He is probably making the right move though. A young dynamic candidate could change things for the Conservative outlook. Labour will be in government, but's majority will be slim. Some bad news economic or otherwise, resulting with even a slight back bench revolt, and we could see another election imho before 4 yrs is up. Hopefully Liberal Democrat Kennedy will have an opportunity to demonstrate some leadership by that time. ..pb)
