I think what is better is to find out what is working at any given time and go with that. In the 1990's most anything worked. In 2000 and 2001 nothing worked. In 2002 foreign government bond funds worked. In 2003 most everything worked again. In 2004 energy trusts worked. This year so far were back to nothing. Lately though it seems that banks and big pharma and a few other things may work, though probably not for long. Then its back to shorts. I think a big crash is coming too, but it may be awhile, maybe next year. And yeah, Phil is a hell of a comedian.
