fresc, I dunno about FOX... (news I guess we are talking about ) From what I hear they aren't partial to public anything... while I think public education does far too little ... but should be the way to go .. every kid should get a break.. in that I'm not exactly libertarian at all... and that does not mean I think private is better, I did private high school in Montreal and it was great.. My daughter is in a French immersion public school. I had considered sending her to private after elementary but after going to the open house the principal really impressed me. It is a perfect case in point that a public school can deliver a great well rounded education... to boot they have many students from public and low rent housing so they aren't being given the most motivated of students always.. I have no regrets about her public school . If they were all that good there would have little to of import to complain about in that vein... The secret being good schools is just like Soylent Green :o) It's People ! For what it's worth Health Care is no different... Unfortunately I've seen it from different perspectives from the inside and I am not encouraged... too many folks think that just throwing more dough at it is gonna help... There is a whole culture in too many hospitals that needs to be changed... FOX LOL... don't confuse me with a died in the wool conservative... I'm not that simple.. Maybe we get a real ReD tory party outta this... that would be OK with me... and a little less government that would be even better.. I do watch the Simpsons reruns on FOX local station though :O) regards K
