We agree that it is awful. However, I wonder if the religious "go straight to Allah" explanation is an oversimplification. As long as people live in misery, there will always be suicide bombers. imo, making some basic improvements for the lives of the populace such as reliable electricity and water would reduce the killing. There are also thousands of Iraqi widows whose husbands we killed and who don't have job skills outside of the world's oldest profession. Many are now selling their bodies to feed their kids. But this has nothing to do with the world's second-largest oil supply, so who cares?
