Just what day is the sabbath anyway?

Every day? The seventh-day adventists seem really obsessed with the idea that it is Saturday, not Sunday, and that all the Sunday worshippers are going to hell. I know this from reading the I-75 billboards through Florida.

The old testament has a bargained-for-exchange paradigm, where the sacrifice is exchanged for the blessing. When people had to work to grow food to eat, not working for a day was a significant sacrifice. The new testament and the new covenant have replaced the sacrifice-exchange idea. Now everyone's sacrifice has already been paid for them, if they will just accept the very generous terms of the agreement. This is the "good news."
