I don't fear Kerry. You don't see me bashing him. He's yesterday's news. I would love to see him win the Democratic nomination in 2008. The fact is that very few politicians get a second chance to run at the top of their ticket, and the last one that was successful was Richard Nixon. Of course, Nixon had to wait eight years and he ran in a three way race against a vice president that was damaged goods because, like Al Gore, he could not decide whether or not to acknowledge the incumbent. Take out Wallace and Nixon loses.

Kerry does not have eight years and he is no Richard Nixon.
Is he going to reinvent himself? Kerry ran a horrible campaign in 2004 and I doubt that he will be much of a factor in 2008.

Gore took himself out of consideration in 2004. The nomination was probably his for the asking if he wanted it. A low key, pro-war Lieberman could not stand up to Dean. Lieberman should switch parties. Gephardt was damaged goods because of his battles as the Democratic leader in the Senate.
