I don't share your affection for Nixon at all. He was a creep. He did the country a lot of harm, although like all presidents he did have redeeming features.

What we need now is HONEST leadership. Bush is so dishonest, worse than Nixon. Despite the constant attacks on Kerry's honesty he is as honest as they come. Which is exactly why they attack his honesty, because they only attack his greatest strengths, like combat heroism and honesty.

Quit obsessing on Hillary. She isn't running in 2008. She may think she is, but she probably knows the truth, that she won't have a snowball's chance even being nominated despite these typically inaccurate way-too-early polls. Those are the same polls that encouraged Joe Lieberman to run in 2004 even though almost no one but Republicans wanted him to.

Hillary is a very smart woman. She knows, or will realize that she is damn lucky to be the extremely popular senator from New York, and one of the few shoo-ins to be re-elected.

Rick Santorum and Tom Delay wish they could say the same. Both will be voted out of office next year, along with some of their followers.
