hear hear!! -g-

The tax gouge always seems a little too deep and painful no matter where you are is my experience -ng-

The UK NHS is a lot better then the newspapers would have people believe. My family and elderly relatives have been looked after really well, several operations (even cosmetic operations), short waiting times, no fuss. Not as excellent a service as you would get in the USA with good health insurance. Somehow I think there is a potential better health service for all in the USA, you just have to extract most of the insurance companies, lawyers and lawsuits (you still need a few of them though). Maybe pay just a little more taxes, but it would be worth it. The UK NHS can always improve. I have extended family working in the NHS and hear about all the things that go wrong too.
