Coug loves it, as it represents freedom, toughness, playfullness, family values, individualism, etc.... And leaving everybody alone except for it's own and it's type survival and peace of mind... And what it stands for at Wazzu is the above. And all what you see at games is a person in a cougar suit. A symbol that represents that.. They long ago got rid of a real caged cougar. Like, when Stanford changed their mascot.. I salute both for that I guess you could say the same of the UC Berkeley Bears, my second favorite PAC TEN team. We have connections to both, and to UCD too.. So Many, that's what I think. You don't have to wonder anymore.
